Really nice tea from Suối Giàng in Yên Bái.
Suối Giàng is probably the most well known Shan tea producing area in Vietnam and this tea comes from in my opinion, some of the best ancient tree gardens there.
This tea was only produced two years ago (2020) but has already taken on a semi-aged flavor. It was also produced in a redder more oxidized style. There is a thick, complex, jammy plum sweetness aroma and taste. A pleasing gentle bitterness and astringency pairs nicely with the heavy sweetness of this tea.
Deep sweet plum huigan and relaxing qi.
This tea is quite flexible. Don't be afraid to push the brewing temperature and time.
