This tea was produced from old and ancient trees growing at 1200m in elevation in the Cao Bồ commune area of Hà Giang.
Cao Bồ is about an hour and a half drive from Hà Giang city and on the south-eastern face of Tây Côn Lĩnh Mountain.
This is a nice full bodied sun-dried black tea that was carefully made by a new tea producer friend of ours (the same person who made the Autumn 24 Air-Dried Hà Giang black tea) in Hà Giang on a couple sunny Autumn days.
This tea brews up quickly into a crimson red brew. I get floral and warming spice notes along with natural leaf notes that are typical of sun-dried black teas. Thick mouthfeel, nice minerality with a lingering sweetness in the mouth and throat and a pleasant clear headed qi effect.
This tea should benefit and improve from additional aging as most sun-dried black teas do,
This tea is flexible but I like to brew it at 90-100C for short-medium long length steeps.
