Roughly made hand painted cups from Hà Giang province.
 
These cups have an interesting story. They are actually made in Hải Dương province about 70km from Hà Nội but due to their low quality, they are sent to mountainous areas in the north and sold for cheap. They are commonly used by people in the mountainous areas for tea and rice wine drinking. “Chén uống rượu” translates to cup for drinking alcohol. 
 
These cups have a special place in our hearts as we’ve spent many days eating delicious food and drinking tea and rice wine in the tea mountains with them.
 
We hope you enjoy using these cups for your beverages of choice and we’re happy that an important piece of Vietnamese culture is being shared across the world. 
 
These cups aren't perfect and have defects! I guess you could think of them as embracing wabi-sabi.
